Who am I?
I am Debsankha Manik, a 4th year undergraduate student majoring in physics at IISER Kolkata in India. Besides physics - my primary area of academic interest, I like to dabble in a few other subjects including mathematics, computer programming, electronics and literature. I am a firm believer in free and open source software, especially GNU/Linux.
What's in this site?
Various projects I have undertaken since joining college are listed in the Projects page, along with the project reports and presentations I haven't yet lost. In case of simulation-oriented projects, links to the relevant programs are also there.
Sometimes when my boredom with the everyday chores reaches a threshold level, I set out to do some arbitrary tasks (like creating this website) , knowing full well that the outcome of those endeavours won't affect me in any possible way. More often than not those jobs involve programming. Codes born that way, along with the ones I wrote for various projects find their place of glory in the Programs page. Most of these codes are scattered across my github repositories, too.
The Stat page displays, well, statistics on various topics. Currently it contains the list of films I like very much. The list is updated through the XMPP service of App Engine.
